Volumetric analysis technique or titrimetry has been an essential tool for chemists since four centuries ago. The relative simplicity of this type of quantitative method of analysis and the fact that it requires relatively simple and inexpensive equipment make this method a versatile tool of analysis. Despite this simplicity, volumetric analysis required a lot of laboratory skills that far from trivial. Also, it requires a powerful theoretical knowledge of the underlying chemistry, as well as a high degree of manual dexterity. For these reasons, volumetric analysis is still included in almost all course specifications, ranging from school to college –level chemistry. Volumetric analysis laboratory is part of a series titled Chemistry Lecture notes. As today’s students have grown up completely submerged in technology. ipad , ipod, computer- these are the ways they interact with their world. They need a laboratory manual made for the way they learn. This is one of the reasons that encourage me to do this manual in an attempt to respond to the challenges facing education in the twenty first century. Chemistry laboratory lecture notes introduce the volumetric analysis experiments (acid-base, redox, precipitation, complexometric) in new form using multimedia with the necessary theoretical background to understand the chemistry skills.
